Presenter's Approach:
From the very beginning, Chandra engages the audience in conversation and draws them into her obvious passion for astrology.  Finding out her audiences interest in and experience with astrology, she moves from those common frames of reference to a detailed yet understandable explanation of the planets, signs and houses and how they all fit together. Chandra enjoys audience interplay and while discussing Aries, for example, she often enters into dialogue with audience Aries, and so on. 

This program, available as a lecture or as an in-depth workshop, details what astrology is and isn't and what it can and cannot do.  Audience members find both the lecture and workshops to be interesting, informative and often very useful in their lives and careers.  

Note:  In this presentation, Chandra will not invest time in one individual's astrological make-up.  Individuals interested in this should schedule a reading.  Chandra may, however, utilize the astrological chart of a well known person to illustrate specific personality and perception issues as they pertain to the program.

Results:
Participants will:

• Be able to present their questions and curiosities about astrology and have them answered by a leading expert in that field

• Know the traits and life events associated with the various astrological planets, houses and signs and how they all work together

• Appreciate that astrology, a science developed and heavily utilized in ancient times, is still a valuable and easily accessible tool we can use to understand and plan our lives today 

Price Range:
Lectures:   $180 for the first hour,  $80 for each additional hour  (up to 4 hours)
Workshops:   1 day (8 hrs.)       -  $  65 per person
                      2 days (16 hrs.)   -  $130 per person
Plus travel expenses for locations over a 30 mile radius from Scranton

Logistical Factors:
Hosting organization must provide the following:

• a podium, table and chair for the speaker

• lavaliere microphone for audiences over 30 people

• ample room for audience seating  (tables required for workshops)

• overhead projector and screen

• AC outlet

• drinking water for speaker

About the Presenter:
Author of the book, "Astrology, Archetypes and Insights", Chandra Sammons is a professional Astrologer.  While studying with notable teachers, she began her practice in NYC in 1986.  She holds an NCGR level IV Consulting Astrologer Certificate.  NCGR is one of the largest and best-known international astrologer’s associations.  For several years in the 1980’s and 1990’s, Chandra held positions on the board of the NYC Chapter of NCGR, most notable among them, Education Committee Chairperson.  Chandra is still a faculty member, and continues her astrological practice doing chart readings, mainly by phone, as well as teaching classes, workshops and giving lectures. 

In addition to Astrology, in recent years Chandra has been studying Intuition and Energy Medicine with Drs. Caroline Myss and C. Norman Shealy.  She participated on the faculty of their Vision, Creativity and Intuition Workshop Program and teaches a course on Basic Astrology for Archetypal Integration with Dr. Shealy through Holos Institute of Health.  Chandra currently resides in Scranton, PA.
